Q: Is the IFM EVC019 resistant to oil and coolant?

A: Yes, the EVC019 is resistant to oil and coolant. Featuring a PUR jacket and an FKM O-ring, it is suitable for long-term use in environments such as machine tools and hydraulic stations where exposure to oil and cutting fluid splashes occurs.

Q: Which sensors are compatible with the EVC019?

A: It is compatible with any sensor or actuator featuring an M12 A-coded 4-pin interface. This includes, but is not limited to, IFM photoelectric sensors (e.g., O6 series), IFM inductive proximity switches, IFM pressure and flow sensors, and M12 A-coded 4-pin sensors from other brands.

Q: Why does the connector remain loose or have a gap after tightening?

A: Check the condition of the O-ring. The EVC019 features a mechanical stop design to prevent the O-ring from being over-compressed during normal tightening.

If the O-ring is aged, deformed, or missing, the IP67 protection rating cannot be achieved even when tightened; in this case, the cable or the O-ring needs to be replaced.
