Q: How fast can the cycle time for the IO-Link ports be set?

A: It can be set to "as fast as possible," in which case the device automatically selects the fastest possible cycle time.

Alternatively, a fixed value can be set manually, adjustable from 2.0 ms to 128.0 ms.

Q: How do I configure the parameters for the AL1102?

A: There are two methods:

Online configuration: Connect to the AL1102 online via PROFINET engineering software (such as TIA Portal) and configure the IO-Link port parameters in the device view.

Offline configuration: Use IFM's LR DEVICE software to create a configuration file (*.lrp) offline, then upload it to the AL1102.

Note: If a VPN connection is active on your computer, it will prevent LR DEVICE from accessing the AL1102's PROFINET interface; you must disconnect the VPN first.

Q: How many devices can be connected to the AL1102?

A: Each of the 8 IO-Link ports can connect to one IO-Link device, allowing for a theoretical maximum of 8 devices.

However, in practice, if Y-splitters are used, each port can connect to two sensors (one IO-Link + one standard I/O, or two standard I/Os).
